About Katie Rowe
Having lived in Muskoka for all but a mere two years of my life, I am very familiar with the area and know how to live the Muskoka lifestyle. Loving the recreational life of camping, hiking, atving and outdoor adventures, I’m very aware of most all of the ‘secret spots’ of Muskoka and will help you find your own too!
After having my second son, I was unsure what to do with myself. Taking baby steps from being at home with the kids, I decided on a small Administration course to ease back into the work force. Right after graduating at the top of the class, I took on an Administrative Assistant position with RE/MAX North Country Realty Inc., Brokerage. This position had me working between several offices and for many different real estate sales representatives. This role was a ideal for me as it allowed me to learn from many local professionals- some of which were the top selling leaders of the area- and it gave me the confidence to apply with the Ontario Real Estate Association and start my own real estate courses. Once finished, I left my job as the office assistant, and moved on to becoming an unlicensed assistant to the Manager of the Huntsville office. Learning from the best, I decided to officially apply for my licence in February 2014 and start selling real estate as part of a team.
Starting at the beginning of 2015, I ventured out on my own and started selling real estate backed by the RE/MAX brand. Although still considered a ‘rookie’, I have brought with me my experience and knowledge from many different areas including the ‘behind the scenes’ work and the enthusiasm to prove myself to my clients. I specialize in bringing peace of mind to Sellers who have previously struggled with selling their homes on their own or with another agent, by bringing the confidence and new ideas needed for success. I also dedicate myself to providing the expertise, security, and enthusiasm to first time home Buyers.
I have the drive to succeed in this business. I use my youth to my advantage- I grew up with the technology of today and use it strongly to market my listings, their features, as well as myself. I enjoy continuously taking real estate courses and seminars on how to improve my business, grow with it, and adapt to all of life’s changes- because lets face it- real estate deals don’t happen on the tailgate of a truck with a beer and a shake of the hands any more (which is how it once was according to a seasoned real estate colleague I know).
I enjoy learning about my Seller clients- why they bought their home, what kept them there, and why they either need or want to leave. I give all of my Seller clients the same treatment- no matter what the value of their home is. No home is too big or too small for me to take on. I ensure that I put a cap on how many Buyers and Sellers I work with so that I can ensure quality care to all of my clients. Sellers need constant communication about what is going on in Market Place, with their own listing specifically, and with other homes that are comparable. I make sure to be available around my Sellers schedules- working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed. I believe in professional photography (not those silly wide angled glossy shots though!), as well as social media advertising, open houses, and more. I believe in providing you with an accurate value of your home based on comparable homes and facts about the Market. I am not going to embellish the value of your home just so I can get your listing, then have it either not sell, or having to keep lowering the price. I want to SELL your home for you, not just LIST it.
I thrive off of building a relationship with my Buyer clients- especially first timers! Buyers need someone they can trust, that won’t push them and has the patience to stick with them while searching for their dream. Buying a home is probably the single largest asset most people purchase in their lifetime, and you need to have someone with the knowledge, enthusiasm, and personal qualities to help with this transaction. Buyers also need someone who is available. Of course I do take some days off, just like everyone else, but I ensure that I am available most days, evenings, weekends, holidays and try to arrange my time off around my clients schedules. I have a very flexible schedule that changes with each client I take on. Buyers also need an Agent that isn’t swamped with too many other clients. I put a cap on how many Sellers and Buyers I work with so I can ensure that I provide the most care and best service to them all.
